If you're working with students who are more comfortable in a language other than English, there are a few easy ways to make Hello World activities more accessible. Below are helpful tips to translate materials and adjust platform settings.
Adding the Google Translate extension to a student’s browser will allow them to translate entire web pages, including lesson directions, into other languages such as Spanish, French, Chinese and more.
🔹 Note: While the extension translates most of the page, text embedded in GIFs and images will not be translated.
If your lesson includes PDF handouts or Google Slides, you can upload these documents to Google Translate or copy/paste the content into translate.google.com to provide a version in another language.
This is helpful for students who prefer working with printed or offline instructions.
If students are using Delightex for their project, they can change the platform’s default language:
This will translate the DX platform interface and menus to the language you select.
