AI Story Studio is Hello World's AI literacy module for grades 3-12 in which students learn how AI works by using it to create stories. Students explore AI basics through interactive explanations, use AI to generate story ideas and immersive VR environments, and then program AI-enabled characters with block-based code to bring their stories to life. It's the entry point to Hello World's AI literacy curriculum.
Because storytelling makes AI's behavior visible. When a student asks AI for a plot twist and gets something generic, they learn how AI generates from patterns. When they ask for a character that looks like them and get something off, they learn about training data and bias. When they refine a prompt and get better results, they learn to direct the tool. AI Story Studio turns each of those moments into a lesson without needing a lecture.
Grades 3 through 12. Younger students focus on AI basics and creative co-creation; older students go deeper into programming AI-enabled characters and evaluating outputs critically. Elementary schools use it as a first AI literacy experience; middle and high schools often pair it with AI Book Hook or AI History Museum.

The AI generates options and environments; students choose, revise, and program the result. Students agree to a Code of Ethics covering integrity in their work.
Yes. All AI interaction happens inside Hello World's platform behind four layers of AI safety, with teacher access controls. Students never need accounts on commercial AI tools, and the data security overview explains how student information is handled.
