National Summit Application
Requirements

Project Link

A shareable link to the interactive digital story. The experience should take about 5–10 minutes to explore.

Written Reflection (200-300 words)

Students should respond to the following prompts:

  • Story Choice - Why did you choose this book or story to build your sequel or adaptation?
  • Understanding AI - What did you already know about AI before starting this project? What new insights did you gain about how generative AI creates text or ideas?
  • Using AI Thoughtfully - How did AI support your creative process? Which AI suggestions did you use, adapt, or ignore, and why?
  • Evaluating AI Output - What strengths did you notice in the AI’s responses? Where did you see limitations, inaccuracies, or moments that required human judgment?
  • Authorial Decision-Making - How did you make sure the final story reflected your own voice, ideas, and intentions rather than the AI’s?
  • Sharing Impact - How could your project or what you learned help someone else better understand or use AI?

National Advancement Submissions are due by April 25, 2026

Note: Teachers may submit this application on a student’s behalf. However, all written reflections must be the student’s own original work.
